About the artist...
Born in New York, fashion was just a part of my life. My mother was a hair stylist in the 60's and her zest for a fun -
fashion forward sense of style clearly had an impact on me at an early age. It follows me to this day and for that I'm grateful.
You'll see a 1960's/70's influence find its way into some of the Glamour Gal™ hair styles every so often. "Big hair" from back in the day was not lost on me ;-) Nor were my mother's "label" lovin' ways. I was pretty much groomed to carry that torch.
The "Glamour Gals™", in some respects, are a nod to her and the creative force she was in the industry... and in my life.
I suppose she will forever be a muse.
”I really like your work. It reminds me of a cross between Alexander Calder & Howard Finster. Keep it up!"
... JOE PETRO III (Artist & collaborator with Hunter S. Thompson ’s illustrator... Ralph Steadman)
My paintings are intended to extol the Goddess in all gals with a sense of whimsical glamour, parody and designer wearing attitude. Without any preconceived notions, each Glamour Gal™ takes on a life of her own with an imposing personal statement. Using simplistic lines, color and expression, without apology, I leave it up to the distinct viewer to determine the appeal.
I'm a Contemporary American listed artist in the Artists Bluebook & AskArt.com, highly regarded and regularly referred upon industry art reference guides. Currently residing in Irvine - Orange County, California as a career artist, my work is a popular choice among new and veteran art collectors in the USA and Internationally.
I'm delighted that my paintings and prints are admired and found in collections all across the United States and in France, England, Russia, Japan, Germany, Israel, Singapore, Bermuda, Ireland, Switzerland, Canada, Australia, Thailand, Greece, Belgium, Iceland, Bahrain, Norway, Brazil, Denmark, Italy, Netherlands and Dubai.
