From the *TAGGED YOU'RE IT* collection. Recycled vintage print... spray paint to "tag" it and acrylic paint to embellish or re-work when and where I see fit. Varnished. Short bio about the piece on the back (see below). This isn't a departure from the Glamour Gals™. I'll always paint "the gals". This is just another creative venture and I'm loving it!
Barnaby Pinwhistle was a ________. You can fill it in. He was certainly a man of wealth & importance. Do you think he was driven & ultimately corrupt by the almighty dollar? Does a bear sshhhit in the woods? His charm, wit & good looks dropped many a bloomers in his day but alas his mistress & true love... the dolla dolla bills y'all and thus the title of the painting. Mr. Pinwhistle is an alias to protect the good family name (of course).

THE O'KEEFFE MONOLOGUES

24" x 20" - Mixed medium on canvas
From the *TAGGED YOU'RE IT* collection. Recycled vintage print... spray paint to "tag" it and acrylic paint to embellish or re-work when and where I see fit. Varnished. Short bio about the piece hand written on the back. Here's the story:
GEORGIA O’KEEFFE was an American artist (b. 1887 – d. 1986). Early in her career she made large-format paintings of enlarged blossoms, presenting them close up as if seen through a magnifying glass. Okay. But here’s the deal… they have since become synonymous with being paintings of vagina’s. I know, I know, that certainly is debatable and I think it always will be. I do find it interesting however that you can find Georgia O’Keeffe in the Urban Dictionary defined as: A female painter that painted mostly flowers usually considered to resemble vagina’s . This has led to the slang of a "Georgia O'keeffe" party which is the opposite of a “sausage fest" (a party of mostly guys). But I digress… For this work, I decided to marry the notion of "O’keeffe like" vajay flowers and The Vagina Monologues and came up with the painting titled: “THE O’KEEFFE MONOLOGUES” . This isn't a departure from the Glamour Gals™.... I'll always paint "the gals". This is just another creative venture and I'm loving it!
